Unfortunately, your teeth will darken over time. This discoloration can be caused by factors such as the food and beverages you consume, like coffee, tea, soda and red wine. Other known factors for discoloration may include childhood medications or illnesses, tobacco use or improper oral hygiene.

Our whitening methods include:
ZOOM! Whitening
We use the Zoom! In-Office Whitening System as our premier chair-side whitening method. Zoom! Whitening is very safe while under the supervision of a trained dentist. It is one of the safest procedures in cosmetic dentistry. However, we do not recommend this procedure for pregnant women or children under age 13.
This chair-side treatment is quick and easy. First we will cover your lips and gums, only exposing your teeth. The Zoom! Whitening Gel is applied to your teeth, and a specially designed light activates the gel to gently break down the stains on your teeth. The gel is applied in three 15-minute sessions, so the entire procedure lasts 45 minutes. During the procedure, you can relax, watch TV or listen to music.
There are minimal side effects, including sensitivity during treatment. The light also produces minimal heat, which may cause discomfort. Rarely, tingling may occur after the procedure, but this will subside.
Results depend on a number of factors. You should follow the post-whitening care instructions, brush and floss twice daily and occasionally touch-up your smile with take-home professional whitening products.

Opalescence Take Home Whitening Gels
For those of our patients who may have experienced severe sensitivity to an in-office whitening procedure in the past, need a slight touch-up or who feel that they want to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home, we recommend a customized take home whitening system. We have done our diligence in choosing Opalescence Take Home Whitening Gels to give you the most consistent and efficient results.
This method is only available from a dentist, making it safe because your dentist will supervise your treatment. The gel used is very sticky, so it will not run onto your gums. It also includes Potassium Fluoride (PF), which will strengthen your teeth’s enamel, decrease teeth’s sensitivity and offer increased cavity prevention.
This take home system is highly effective, using a gentle, carbamide peroxide gel that can contain 10%, 10%PF, 15%PF, 20%PF or 35%PF. You can see results after just one night, but best results appear after a week.
This system is also customized for your personal use. Your dentist will create special, custom-made trays for you. You can also customize your whitening gel to your preference, choosing it’s percentage of PF and its flavor: mint, melon or regular.
